From the past September through this May, we have been extremely fortunate to have the support and expertise of an absolutely amazing team of readers to help us through the hundreds of hours of close evaluation of the manuscripts we received during our open submission period in August. It's not hyperbole to say that each member of this team (most of whom read over 60 manuscripts) made a world of difference in the process of selecting CavanKerry's forthcoming titles. Each reader was timely, thorough, and professional with their assessments, and it gave us tremendous peace of mind to know they were working alongside us to honor our mission of publishing collections both of the highest quality writing and with the deepest wells of heart and generosity. We can't wait to share the resulting lineup with you (keep your eyes peeled this Friday!). Once more, from each of us on the CKP team: thank you. Legaspi, a Fulbright and New York Foundation for the Arts fellow, is the author of a previous collection, Imago (CavanKerry Press and University of Santo Tomas Press), and two chapbooks: Aviary, Bestiary and Subways. His poems have appeared in the Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day, jubilat, Orion, Painted Bride Quarterly, and Salt Hill. He is the cofounder of Kundiman, a nonprofit organization serving Asian American writers. He is also a graduate of New York University and Cornell University, and the recipient of fellowships and scholarships from The Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, New England College, and The Frost Place.
